Welcome to Cubs!
Cubs are the third section in the scouting family, after beavers and before scouts, and are open to girls and boys from about 8 to 10 1/2 years.
Race down a river. Tell stories by torchlight. Fall asleep beneath the stars. Alongside your Pack, you’ll spend plenty of time in the great outdoors.
Together, you might build a den in your local park, create an edible raft out of sweets, or go on a moonlit hike through your hometown. And even though you might not be ready to climb Mount Everest just yet, you’re guaranteed to have plenty of adventures on your own doorstep, because being a Cub is all about making the most of what you have, wherever and whomever you are.
Cubs take part in a wide range of activities designed to be interesting and challenging. Our evening programme in Cubs includes regular team games, walks, arts and crafts and a great diversity of badge work which has seen us cover activities from pond dipping to crystal making to computer programming. Much of this is outdoors when the weather allows.
Camps and holidays are some of the most memorable events of the year for Cubs.
Cubs meet up at 7:00 pm on a Wednesday night at the Stambermill Headquarters and normally finish around 8:30pm.
